At Bloom Dance Studio we offer a lifelong dance education, from childhood through adolescence into adulthood. The journey begins with a simple intention: to create an environment where dancers fall in love with dance. The love of dance is what draws them back through the studio door, week after week, year after year. Over time, discipline and devotion deepen, technical excellence takes root, and every dancer has the opportunity to flourish.
This is a gentle first step into dance class that is shared with a parent, guardian or loved one. Through creative play, you explore musicality and the basic foundations of dance with your little one. A time to bond, be a bit silly, and most importantly, encourage their budding love of dance.
Inspired by the RAD Dance to Your Own Tune framework, these classes use imaginative storytelling to build vital social and physical skills. Children develop motor control, balance, coordination, and spatial awareness while learning to interpret rhythm and tempo. Prioritising creative physical discovery over rigid form to start, these classes forms a solid base for all future dance training.
Our ballet classes follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, a internationally recognised curriculum that has set the standard for classical training for over a century. With a focus is on building confidence, technical artistry and performance quality, we follow a pace that suits each dancer while giving them opportunity to take part in assessments as well as festivals, competitions and shows .
A natural partner to ballet, contemporary dance is expressive, grounded and versatile. Classes explore floor work, release and momentum, the use of breath and weight, all building strength and fluidity while giving each dancer room to find their own way of moving. Those who wish can perform contemporary work at festivals, competitions and concerts.

I have not one, not two, but three of my kids enrolled at Bloom currently. Each child is so different and yet each child gets what they need and just loves the classes! What I love is that the teachers create a safe, happy place for them to explore their creativity, learn a beautiful skill and also get so fit! Kim and Ipeleng take the time to show each child individual attention. Nurture, love, fun, creativity. What more could you ask for in a dance studio!
Our two kids have danced with Kim since she made those awesomely creative online dance videos for small kiddies during COVID. While we were all feeling glum and trapped, a new video would be released and joy, fun and creativity would reign again with kids doing spaghetti legs and swimming in the imaginary sea on our lounge floor!
They have been doing RAD Ballet since 2024 and while the form requires conservative technique - joy is still the baseline. They are building transferable life skills like confidence, dedication, performance and cognitive prowess - their brains are exercising so much!
All this happy learning would not be possible without teachers who lead with kindness. They are the talented bunch who you will have the pleasure of working with if you choose the BLOOM dance journey.
Thank You, Kim, Ips and Jo!
Over the years I have seen firsthand the positive impact Bloom Ballet specifically has on my school learners. They are kind, respectful, hardworking and display wonderful discipline both inside and outside the classroom. Teacher Jo and Kim have clearly taught perseverance, self-control, grace and dedication over the years and they stand out and SHINE. Keep doing what you are doing!
Bloom Dance has been teaching dance at my school for the past few years, and what we value so deeply is the beautiful balance they strike between teaching real dance skills - with the repetition and practice that any art language requires- while still holding onto the magic of childhood.
In their classes, children are learning core technique always but they are invited to imagine, create, and become tall trees, or butterflies, and storytellers through movement.
The teachers hold calm, firm boundaries. There is a deep respect for children in the way they teach, and the atmosphere is consistently joyful, nurturing, and full of wonder.
Dance is such an underrated form of expression for preschool children, and Bloom truly understands how to honour both the artistry of dance and the spirit of childhood.
